The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has posted weight limits on a bridge in the Simpsonville area of Greenville County because of the bridge's deteriorating condition.

SCDOT Seeks Public Comment on Special Bridge Replacement Program
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking comment from the public on a proposed 2013 Act 98 Special Bridge Replacement Program prior to inclusion in the South Carolina Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). Projects listed in the program have been allotted $52,944,000 and involves the replacement of 90 bridges in 33 counties across the state.

Drainage Project to Require Alpine Road Beginning Closure Oct. 21
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) advises motorist that Alpine Road (S40-63) in Richland County will be closed to thru traffic on Oct. 21, 2013, at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Oct. 25 at mile points 0.76 (Polo Road) to 1.68 ( Windsor Lake Boulevard) for a drainage project at Jackson Creek.
