The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announces that a section of Old Clemson Highway near Seneca in Oconee County will be closed beginning April 1 to stabilize the abutment where a recent rock slide occurred.

Congestion on I-95 Northbound in Hampton County

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) advises motorists of congestion Thursday afternoon on Interstate 95 northbound in Hampton County due to a lane closure.

SCDOT Seeks Public Comment

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking comment from the public on projects that have been identified to receive a special apportionment of Federal Highway Funding.  The funding is from a one time 2010 apportionment of which the SCDOT received notice from the FHWA on February 22, 2010.  The SCDOT intends to use the funding to advance interstate improvement projects at various locations.

Repairs on I-85 Business Southbound To Require Temporary Closure

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) plans to perform repair work on the Southbound SC 85 (Business I-85) bridges over Norfolk Southern Railroad and S-42-2 (Howard Street).  These bridges are located just south of the Hearon Circle Interchange in Spartanburg County.  This work will involve full depth concrete patching and repairs of the bridge decks.  It is anticipated that the work will be a continuous operation once it begins and will last for approximately 5 days.
