Public Meeting Jan. 27 in Wando Concerning SC 41 Improvements
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public meeting Thursday, Jan. 27, concerning plans to improve two miles of SC 41 including the replacement of the SC 41 bridge over the Wando River in Berkeley and Charleston counties.

Public Hearing Jan. 27 in Yemassee Concerning Bridge Replacements on US Route US 17A
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public hearing Thursday, Jan. 27, concerning bridge replacements along US 17A north of Yemassee.

I-73 Remains on Track with two Environmental Impact Statements Under Development

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are developing two Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for the I-73 corridor: one covers the 50-mile segment between I-95 and Myrtle Beach (the Southern Project) and the other, the 40-mile project from I-95 north towards Hamlet, NC (the Northern Project).  The SCDOT Transportation Commission declared that I-73 “is the most important new construction project in the state.”

Cross Island Parkway Eastbound Off-Ramp To Close For Repairs January 7, 2005.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announces that on Friday, January 7 the Marshland Road/Spanish Wells Road (eastbound) off-ramp will be closed from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Bridge over Kings Creek Near Blacksburg to be Replaced
The South Carolina Department of Transportation plans to replace the bridge over Kings Creek on Route S-209 (Old Chester Road)/ S-816 (River Road), approximately six miles southeast of Blacksburg at the Cherokee and York County line.
