Expect delays and nighttime lane closures to widen Interstate 20 from Interstate 77 (MM 74.7) past Spears Creek Church Road (MM 84.6) in Richland County. Completion is anticipated fall 2014.

SCDOT Closes Monticello Road for Water Main Repairs
The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced on September 16, 2014 that Monticello Road (SC 215) will be closed from I-20 entrance ramp to Blue Ridge Terrace (S-40-334).  SCDOT anticipated the road will be closed until September 19, 2014 in order to repair a large water main break. As repairs are completed, lanes will be opened to traffic on a limited basis after September 19, 2014. SCDOT Updates Agency Status for Legislative Committee               
Secretary of Transportation Janet P. Oakley and three Deputy Secretaries provided a complete update on the status of the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) for the newly-created Transportation & Management Ad Hoc Committee. The Committee held its first meeting in Columbia on Tuesday afternoon, September 16, 2014. Secretary Oakley presented the SCDOT Strategic Direction, mission and values. She cited four key goals the agency works toward achieving.

Anderson County Road will be Temporarily Closed for Improvements
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) along with S & S Construction, Inc. of Anderson are improving the intersection of SC-8 with East Church Road, St. Paul Road and Three and Twenty Road. As part of the improvement process, East Church Road will be closed from SC-8 to Cynthia Lane.
