Public Meeting Aug. 11 in McCormick County Concerning Proposed US 378 Bridge Replacement Project

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Thursday, Aug. 11, in McCormick County concerning the proposed bridge replacement of the US 378 bridge crossing Little River.

The meeting will be between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Hickory Knob State Park conference room, 1591 Resort Drive.  The meeting will have a drop-in format, with displays for viewing. 

The meeting is intended to provide an opportunity to review and discuss individually, with representatives from SCDOT, preliminary alignments and design for the proposed bridge replacement of the US 378 bridge crossing Little River.  In addition, an opportunity will be provided for comments on the project’s impacts to McCormick County.  Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area.
