Public Meeting Tuesday, May 3, in Richland County Concerning Proposed Widening/Reconstruction of SC 262 (Leesburg Road)

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Tuesday, May 3, concerning the proposed widening and reconstruction of SC 262 (Leesburg Road). 

The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Meadowfield Elementary School, 525 Galway Lane, Columbia.  The meeting will have a drop-in format with project displays available for viewing. 

A brief presentation regarding the proposed project will be conducted at 6 p.m. 

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and to solicit feedback from area residents and businesses concerning the proposed widening and reconstruction of SC 262 (Leesburg Road) from S-88 (Fairmont Road) to S-37 (Lower Richland Boulevard).  Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area.  Representatives from SCDOT will be available to answer questions.
