Public Meeting Oct. 28 in Greenville County Concerning SC 101/S-23-0113 (Fews Bridge/Chapel Road) Improvement Project

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Thursday, October 28, concerning the SC 101/ Fews Bridge/Chapel Road intersection improvement project.

The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fews Chapel United Methodist Church, 4000 N. Highway 101 in Greer.  The meeting will have a drop-in format, with displays for viewing.  Citizens will have the opportunity to provide written comments.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity to review and discuss individually with representatives from SCDOT the limits of the project, the scope and schedule, and the plan for maintaining traffic during construction.  The project includes the realignment of Fews Bridge/Chapel Road (S-23-0113), creating a “T” intersection with a signal at SC 101.  Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area.  Engineering and environmental personnel from SCDOT will be available to answer questions.
