March 26
Section of Old Clemson Highway in Oconee County to Close April 1 for Repairs

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announces that a section of Old Clemson Highway near Seneca in Oconee County will be closed beginning April 1 to stabilize the abutment where a recent rock slide occurred.

The closure will be in place until work is completed, which is expected by April 18, weather permitting.

Access will be maintained for use by emergency vehicles only. All other traffic will be detoured to SC 130 to the intersection with US 76/123 in Seneca. SCDOT maintenance forces will be performing the work to minimize the expense.

Message boards are in place to help inform motorists. The detour length is approximately 7 miles.
