Rehabilitation Project in York County

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) awarded a contract to Eagle Construction Company for the rehabilitation of SC 97 between Hickory Grove and Smyrna in York County.

This project will require the closure of SC 97 (Highway 97/Wylie Avenue) from Ebenezer Road (S-46-651) to just north of Railroad Avenue (S-46-175) and Ebenezer Road (S-46-651). The closures are scheduled to begin on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017. Barring any unforeseen delays, the project should be completed on Oct. 27, 2017.

The detour route of SC 97 will utilize Legion Road/Potato House Road (S-46-233) and Main Street (SC 97). The net detour length is 1.51 miles.

The detour route for Ebenezer Road (S-46-651) will utilize Walnut Street (S-46-70), Peachtree Street (S-46-105), York Street (S-46-68), Wylie Avenue (SC 97), Legion Road/Potato House Road (S-46-233) and Main Street (SC 97). The net detour length is 8.49 miles.
