The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Tuesday, June 6, 2017, for the proposed roundabout at Waverly Road and Petigru Drive in Georgetown County.
The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Waccamaw High School cafeteria, 2412 Kings River Road, Pawleys Island. The meeting will have a drop-in type format with displays for viewing and citizens will have the opportunity to provide written comments.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity to review and discuss individually with representatives from SCDOT the proposed intersection improvements at Waverly Road and Petigru Drive. The proposed project will realign the intersection to meet current design requirements, eliminate crossing conflicts and improve safety. Another purpose of this meeting is to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area. Personnel from SCDOT will be available to answer questions and discuss the project with interested citizens on an individual basis.
For more information, the public may contact SCDOT Program Manager Rebecca Breland at (803) 737-1194 in Columbia, or at email@example.com. Persons with disabilities who may require special accommodations should contact Betty Gray at (803) 737-1395.
Project information, including meeting material and comment forms will also be available on the SCDOT website (http://www.scdot.org, Public Involvement Portal; http://www.scdot.org/PublicInvolvement/calendar.aspx).
