Work to replace the railroad crossing on Woodruff Road just east of the Garlington Road intersection in Greenville will require lane closures on Saturday, April 1, from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
A second phase of the work will begin at approximately 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 2, and end at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
During both phases of work, Woodruff Road will be limited to one lane in each direction. Additionally, at some point on Saturday, a 15-minute closure of traffic will be required to install the new railroad track.
Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes and to expect traffic congestion. SCDOT urges motorists to use caution in the work zone. Please obey all traffic control devices.
This weekend's work will facilitate the future upgrades to Woodruff Road planned for 2018/2019.
