The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has allowed contractor Anderson Columbia Co. Inc., to perform a patching operation that will require a lane closure on I-26 westbound at mile marker 118 in Lexington County on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, after the morning peak traffic (approximately 9:15 a.m.)
SCDOT anticipates the lane closure ending around noon. This lane closure is required to allow the contractor to complete a patching operation from an accident with a diesel spill that occurred on Nov. 15.
One westbound lane will be closed and two lanes will remain open during the work. Motorists are advised to use caution in the work zone.
Message signs informing motorists of the work were installed Nov. 28.
