The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announces a traffic shift planned for the US 76/US 378 (Garners Ferry Road) bridge construction project in Richland County.
Beginning Sunday, Oct. 23, the new traffic shift will affect eastbound traffic along US 76/US 378 from Old Garners Ferry Road to Old Hopkins Road. The eastbound US 76/US 378 traffic will be shifted onto a new alignment and across a detour bridge that was recently constructed.
The next phase of the project will be to remove and reconstruct the existing westbound bridge. The westbound US-76/US-378 traffic will be shifted later next week onto the existing eastbound lanes.
For more information concerning this project, the public may contact SCDOT Resident Construction Engineer Paul Miller at (803) 786-0717.
