The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Thursday, March 10, concerning potential improvements for the proposed SC 118 (Hitchcock Parkway) Corridor in Aiken County.
The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Road in Aiken. The meeting will have a drop-in format, with displays, informational handouts and comment forms. Project information, including meeting materials and comment forms will also be available on the SCDOT website (http://www.scdot.org, Public Hearings Quicklink).
The purpose of the meeting is to present potential improvements for the proposed SC 118 (Hitchcock Parkway) Corridor, extending approximately 4.8 miles from US 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway) to SC 302 (Silver Bluff Road), and to solicit feedback from area residents. Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the community. Personnel representing SCDOT will be available to discuss the project with interested citizens on an individual basis.
