Public Comment Sought For the Earmark Funding of a Pedestrian Walkway At  South Carolina State University in Orangeburg County

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is providing public notification on a revised project description for the pedestrian walkway at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg County.

Federal Appropriation Earmarks were originally awarded to design and construct a pedestrian walkway in the area of South Carolina State and Claflin Universities’ campuses in the City of Orangeburg.   Clarification of the intent of the earmark funding identifies the pedestrian walkway near the campus of South Carolina State on US 21 Bypass (Chestnut Street) near Reid Street.  The proposed amendment updates the project description in the STIP to only reflect the pedestrian walkway near South Carolina State University.
