The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Thursday, April 2, 2015, in Lexington County concerning the proposed widening of Interstate 20 between US 378 and Longs Pond Road.
The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Meadow Glenn Middle School, 440 Ginny Lane, Lexington. The meeting will have a drop-in format, with displays for viewing.
The meeting is intended to provide information and solicit feedback from area residents concerning the proposed widening of I-20 between US 378 and Longs Pond Road. Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization, on historic or cultural resources in the area. Representatives from SCDOT and will be available to answer questions.
This project is funded by Act 98 of 2013 dollars approved by the General Assembly to SCDOT for transfer to the State Infrastructure Bank to support bond proceeds for prioritized interstate infrastructure needs across the state.
