SCDOT Seeks Public Comment on Additional Funding for Special 2014 Federal Aid Resurfacing and Bridge Deck Preservation Program

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking comment from the public to amend the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) to include additional federal funding for the special 2014 Federal Aid Resurfacing and Bridge Deck Preservation Program.

An additional $38.2 million has been recommended for the special resurfacing and bridge deck preservation program, which involves the reconstruction and rehabilitation of nearly 135 miles of Federal Aid eligible roads and bridge decks in each of the state's 46 counties.

A copy of this press release and a link to the special 2014 Federal Aid Resurfacing and Bridge Deck Preservation Program document, which lists the selected sections of roads by county in their respective Engineering District with location maps, are available for public review and comment online until Sept. 15, 2014 at:
