One-year Anniversary of SCDOT’s Customer Service Center

Toll-Free Calls Totaled more than 14,000 in First Year of Operation

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Customer Service Center has received more than 14,000 calls since opening for business June 1, 2012.

The center's hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The toll-free phone number is 855-GO-SCDOT (855-467-2368).

The center was established to more efficiently respond to the public's requests for services or information. It serves as a central location, providing "one-stop shopping for information," to make it easier for citizens to navigate through a large state agency.

The center has four agents responding to an average of 282 phone calls each week from around the state. It is located at SCDOT Headquarters in Columbia.
