The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) advises repairs have begun on a hole in the left lane of northbound US Highway 25 bridge deck over River Road in Greenville County, approximately 1 mile north of SC 11.
As of Thursday afternoon, SCDOT crews were currently working to set up a work zone using water fill barriers and expect to have one lane reopened to traffic by approximately 5 p.m.
SCDOT estimates repairs to the hole, which is 2 feet by 5 feet, will be completed and traffic on both lanes reopened by the week of June 10.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and to use caution when traveling in the work zone. The speed limit has been reduced to 35 mph through the work zone for the duration of the repair. The SC Highway Patrol is assisting with a detour route using SC 11.
