Public Meeting March 26 in Newberry Concerning Proposed Replacement/Relocation of S-90 (Boundary Street) Bridge
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Tuesday, March 26, in Newberry concerning the proposed replacement/relocation of the S-90 (Boundary Street) Bridge.
The meeting will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Newberry County Library, 1100 Friend St., Newberry.  The meeting will have a drop-in format, with displays for viewing.  Informal, written and verbal comments will be collected during the meeting. A short presentation of the project will be given at 6 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and solicit feedback from area residents concerning the proposed replacement/relocation of S-90 (Boundary Street) Bridge in Newberry.  The proposed project’s purpose is to replace the structurally deficient S-90 Boundary Street Bridge that crosses CSX and Norfolk Southern Railroads.  Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization on the location, design and potential impacts of the project.  Representatives of SCDOT will be available to answer questions.
