SCDOT Requests Public Input in Statewide Online Transportation Plan Development Survey
South Carolina Department of Transportation is pleased to invite you to participate in the Online Public Transportation Survey as part of the SCDOT Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan development.  This survey is designed to collect public opinion on existing and future transit services in the state of South Carolina and will assist in the development of the Statewide Public Transportation Plan.
This survey was developed to better understand your opinion of current public transportation services offered in South Carolina. You have the opportunity to identify existing public transportation needs and strategies for the future through this online survey. Public feedback gathered from the survey will become part of the Statewide Public Transportation Plan.
The survey will be available online until March 12, 2013 and can be accessed at any time from any computer during that period.
Key elements of the statewide multimodal plan include defining a vision for future transportation decisions in South Carolina, assessing system deficiencies, estimating future revenues, formulating performance targets for maintenance and mobility, and identifying intermodal and multimodal transportation needs.

The Statewide Public Transportation Plan outlines federal transit funding for public transit and human services agencies across the state. Federal transit funding is vital in helping transit agencies operate their services for our residents. SCDOT wants to hear your public transportation needs, so we can work with partners to meet existing and future needs.
The final plan will address the federal planning requirements included in the surface transportation reauthorization act, Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21).
SCDOT thanks you for your interest in the Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan and looks forward to your ongoing participation in the plan development.
