Bridge over Big Dutchman Creek in York County to be Replaced

The South Carolina Department of Transportation Maintenance Division plans to replace the bridge over Big Dutchman Creek on S-46-962 (West Oak Drive) near the City of Rock Hill in York County.

This bridge was rated as structurally deficient. Due to the nature of the replacement work and to minimize the impact to nearby property owners in the area, the road will be closed during this replacement. The road will be closed on Monday, March 12. The estimated date of completion is June 29.

The detour will use S-46-961 (Pennington Road), S-46-658 (Museum Road) and S-46-195 (Mt. Gallant Road). The net detour length will be approximately 1.44 miles. For more information, the public may contact District Maintenance Engineer Todd Cook at (803) 377-4155.
